Vikings coach Mike Zimmer wants to bring older coaches to help with attacks

The Vikings saw Gary Kubiak retire this off-season, so now they have to look for their sixth offensive coordinator in the Mike Zimmer era.

As reported by Ben Goessling from Star Tribune, with Klint Kubiak as the main player right now, maybe Zimmer is looking to bring in an older offensive coach to assist. This is reminiscent of the time the Vikings hired Kubiak as an offensive assistant when Kevin Stefanski was still the team’s offensive coordinator.

Klint Kubiak would be an internal employee and a sign of continuity for the crime. As I said, the Vikings can use a more experienced coach to help him. Sources have told Goessling that Zimmer wants to do just that.

A low season, filled with lots of changes for Minnesota already, will probably be presented even more. It’s ready to be interesting.
