In the US, futures on the S&P 500 increased by 0.1% and Dow Jones Industrial Futures strengthened by 0.1%. Futures changes do not necessarily predict movements after the markets have opened.
In Europe, Stoxx Europe 600 decreased by 0.2% in morning trading. Consumer advertising and the IT sector led the losses while the industrial and energy sectors increased.
Airbus jumped 3.4% for a three-day run of profits and BP rose 3.1%.
Royal Mail fell 2.4% for a two-loss loss.
The UK’s FTSE 100 added 0.3%. Other stock indices in Europe mixed as France’s CAC 40 rose 0.2% and the UK’s FTSE 250 added 0.9%, while Germany’s DAX fell 0.3%.
