Thomas Tuchel has been accused of questioning Istanbul Basaksehir’s motives for leaving Paris Saint-Germain after unsurpassed racism storm that saw both sides’ Champions League match abandoned.

Basaksehir’s assistant coach Pierre Webo resumed the line over last month’s extraordinary suspension of both teams due to accusations that he had been subjected to racial abuse by a match official.

The new Chelsea boss Tuchel, who was in charge of PSG at the time, had already been accused by Demba Ba of “blaming” Basaksehir players for what happened.

In an interview with France football, Webo claimed that Tuchel had told Basaksehir’s striker Fredrik Gulbrandsen “he felt that everything was constructed from Turkey”.

Webo added: “When Fredrik said to me, I thought, ‘It’s not normal. It is impossible to have come from him ‘. It really surprised me. He asked the fourth official if he had really said this to me or if it was because the Turkish side did not want to play. There was a lack of solidarity on his part. ”

In an interview with TRT World, Turkey’s state-owned English-language news channel, last month, Ba said about Tuchel: “He had a discussion with one or two players in our team and [was] basically blame us for what happened.

“So that’s his problem. It’s not mine. And this is not something I will share on camera. But if I have to meet him one day, I’ll share with him. ”

Former Chelsea, West Ham United and Newcastle United striker Ba was at the center of last month’s run. Basaksehir’s replacement confronted the match officials after Webo received a red card for protesting against a referee’s decision.

Webo and Ba accused the fourth official of having identified the coach by referring to him as “the black”.

France football said Tuchel had denied the allegations against him. The circumstances behind the walk-off are still being investigated by Uefa.
