Newsweek retroactively edits 2015 Military Ranger report back to assist Salon hit piece on Tom Cotton

Newsweek is going through intense backlash after the publication retroactively edited a 2015 report about Military Ranger College with the intention to assist Salon’s reporting on Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark. 

Cotton, who’s extensively seen as a high contender for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination, was the topic of a report final week from the liberal outlet that scrutinized his navy service, significantly his reported declare on a congressional marketing campaign flier that he “volunteered to be an Military Ranger.”
