Clippers Kawhi Leonard, Paul George clear health records

Kawhi Leonard and Paul George cleared league health and safety records and can play Friday night when Los Angeles Clippers meet Magic in Orlando, ESPN reported.

They did not travel with the Clippers because they started a road trip with six games but have rejoined the team. The two stars have been out since Monday due to the COVID-19 protocols.

In their absence, the Hawks were 1-1 and lost 108-99 to Atlanta Hawks on Tuesday and defeat the Heat in Miami on Thursday, 109-105.

Patrick Beverley not expected to play in Orlando due to prolonged soreness in the right knee. He suffered a knee injury Sunday night in the Clippers’ victory over Oklahoma City.

Leonard is averaging 25.9 points, 5.7 assists and 5.4 rebounds this season, while George is averaging 23.9 points, 6.2 rebounds and 5.4 assists. Beverley has an average of 8.1 points and 2.1 assists per game.

The Clippers (14-5) have the second-best record in the NBA and track the Utah Jazz after a halftime game in the Western Conference.
